Payment is due within seven (7) days of the inspection report being delivered. Invoices are issued by email and may be paid via bank transfer (Australian accounts) or international wire transfer for overseas clients. First-time clients may be asked to pay a 50% deposit prior to the inspection. Overdue accounts may attract a late fee of 5% per month and future bookings may be held until the account is settled.
Inspections cancelled or rescheduled with at least 48 hours’ notice incur no fee. Cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice are charged at 50% of the quoted fee. Cancellations within 12 hours of the scheduled inspection, or a no-access situation on the day (for example, locked property, tenant refusing entry, or incorrect address provided), are charged at the full quoted fee to cover travel and reserved time.
Standard pricing covers Greater Hobart. Inspections in Launceston, Devonport and Burnie attract a fixed travel surcharge of $60. Inspections in other Tasmanian locations are quoted on a per-job basis based on distance and travel time, and must be confirmed in writing before the booking is accepted. Where multiple inspections are booked in the same region on the same day, travel surcharges may be shared across bookings at our discretion.
Trusted Inspection Diary provides visual, non-invasive inspections only. We do not perform building, pest, electrical, plumbing, structural or compliance inspections, and our reports should not be relied upon as a substitute for qualified trade or licensed building inspection services. We do not move furniture, access roof cavities, subfloors or locked rooms, and we do not test appliances beyond standard operation. Our reports reflect the condition of the property as observed on the date of inspection. We are not responsible for defects, damage or issues that were concealed, not reasonably visible, or that arose after the inspection date. To the maximum extent permitted by Australian Consumer Law, our liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the fee paid for the relevant inspection. We carry professional indemnity and public liability insurance; proof of cover is available on request.
All reports, photographs and written findings are prepared for the exclusive use of the paying client. Reports must not be reproduced, shared with third parties or used for commercial purposes (including sale listings) without prior written consent.
Prices are valid for 2026 and are quoted in Australian Dollars (AUD), inclusive of GST where applicable. Trusted Inspection
